However, there are no facilities such as sun loungers or restaurants, so visitors should bring everything they need.
Mondragó Nature Park
Just a few kilometers from Cala d’Or is the Mondragó Nature Park, a protected area with an impressive variety of landscapes. Here you will find a rich fauna, especially water birds, as well as imposing sea cliffs, reed beds and wetland biotopes. The park offers numerous hiking trails that lead through pine forests and along pristine beaches and is a paradise for nature lovers and birdwatchers.
Dragon Caves (Cuevas del Drach)
Another highlight near Cala d’Or are the famous dragon caves near Porto Cristo. This impressive cave system consists of four interconnected caves: the Cave of the French, the Luis Salvador Cave, the White Cave and the Black Cave. Particularly noteworthy is the underground lake, one of the largest of its kind in the world, where classical concerts are regularly held. The village of Santanyí

The port of Cala Llonga
The port of Cala Llonga is one of the most important marinas on the island and a popular meeting place for sailors and boat enthusiasts. Along the harbor promenade you will find numerous bars, restaurants and boutiques that invite you to linger. From here, you can go on boat trips or even hire a yacht to explore the surrounding coastal areas from the water.
Es Fortí Fortress
The Cala Egos district is home to the historic Es Fortí fortress, an 18th-century military installation that was once used to protect the coast. Arrival and mobility
Cala d’Or is located around 65 kilometers from Palma de Mallorca and is well connected to the airport via the Ma-19. You can reach the region by rental car, cab or public transport. From the airport, bus line 1 takes you to Plaza de España in Palma, from where you can take line 501 directly to Cala d’Or. We recommend renting a car or motorcycle locally to be able to explore the many sights and beaches in the area.
