Puerto Portals: a paradise for gourmets and yacht lovers
Puerto Portals, located in Portals Nous on the island of Mallorca, is not only an exclusive marina, but also a culinary center that attracts visitors from all over the world. With over 600 berths for luxury yachts, the harbor offers an impressive setting lined with designer boutiques, yacht charter companies, bars, trendy cafés and first-class restaurants. This mix creates a unique atmosphere for ship owners, celebrities, business people and tourists looking for something special.
YARA: Modern Japanese-Mediterranean cuisine
YARA opened for the 2023 season in a location with a gastronomic history, where star chefs such as Schwaiger and Arrelano previously worked. As the sister restaurant of the popular FERA in Palma, run by Swiss entrepreneurs Sheela and Ivan Levy, YARA presents an inviting ambience with wood, fine fabrics, artwork and floral arrangements. The menu invites you on a culinary journey from the Mediterranean to Asia and is complemented by a well-designed wine and drinks list. Guests praise the quality and service of the restaurant.
SPOON: International cuisine with a maritime flair
The SPOON is a popular meeting place for yacht owners and an international clientele, especially from Germany. The varied menu ranges from pasta dishes, sushi and Asian dishes to Mediterranean and Northern European highlights. We recommend the salmon tartare with cucumber carpaccio and the rocket salad with king prawns as starters. Among the main courses, the bison fillet with roast potatoes, fresh fish dishes and the Wiener schnitzel with lukewarm potato salad are impressive. A good selection of wines and unobtrusive, friendly service round off the experience.
TAHINI: Authentic Japanese cuisine in a private atmosphere
Tucked away behind the popular meeting place Cappuccino is the TAHINI Sushi Bar & Restaurant, which is part of the Cappuccino Group. Elegantly and discreetly designed inside, it offers a private Japanese garden outside with glazed pavilions, lava stone flooring, bamboo and water elements. Guests can enjoy Japanese cuisine of the highest quality undisturbed. Specialties include sushi and sashimi, but also tempura prawns, chicken yakitori, beef fillet teppan yaki and fish dishes as well as vegetarian dishes. The authentic cuisine is the result of regular chef training in Japan. Refined desserts and a very good selection of wines complete the offer. The attentive service is happy to explain Japanese cuisine and the restaurant can be hired for private events.
RITZI: Mediterranean top cuisine with perfect service
The RITZI is a top address for outstanding Mediterranean cuisine combined with perfect service. In summer, it scores with an inviting, open terrace in the first line of the harbor, which is transformed into a heated pavilion in winter. At the lounge bar, you can shorten the waiting time with the best drinks or round off the evening. The brothers Antonio and Salvatore Langobardi and their professional team offer top-quality Mediterranean cuisine: seafood, grilled prawns, lobster specialties such as the fantastic “Risotto al Bogavante”, pasta and fresh meat, all served with authentic flavors and great hospitality. There is also an exquisite wine list.
FLANIGAN: A classic of Mediterranean cuisine
FLANIGAN in Puerto Portals has been a top address for sophisticated Mediterranean cuisine for over 30 years. If you’re feeling peckish, the Flanigan hamburger or steak tartare are very popular, as are tapas, gambas, chipirons, fish & chips, ham and pasta dishes. Regulars particularly recommend the fresh fish at market prices, prepared in a variety of ways, such as sea bass in a salt coating. The Flanigan is also known for its apple strudel with ice cream, which is baked especially for the guest and should be ordered when ordering the main course due to the preparation time of 30 minutes. From the inviting terrace you can enjoy a beautiful view of the harbor.
LILA: Excellent cuisine with a breathtaking view
Situated above the cliffs of Portals Nous Beach and not far from Puerto Portals harbor, the LILA restaurant offers unique views of the harbor, the sea and breathtaking sunsets from its fantastic terrace as well as from the interior. Not only is the location and ambience unique, but the Mediterranean, refined cuisine prepared by chef Stefan Zaelke, head chef Anderson Mendoza and an attentive, professional team – as a menu or à la carte – is also excellent: Veal fillet in a pistachio and tomato crust with parsnip puree and morel sauce, fried scallops with tomato and ginger soup and crispy ricotta and lemon balls or turbot in a bread crust with tomato ravioli and champagne sauce. LILA also offers a selection of tapas, vegetarian dishes, creative desserts and an excellent selection of wines. The kitchen is open so that guests can watch the food being prepared. In winter, cooking courses are also held followed by a meal together.
All in all, Portals is one of Mallorca’s culinary hotspots. Which is your favorite restaurant at the port?
