Pueblo Español Christmas market on Mallorca
The Christmas market for young and old…
Even if you are used to it differently, with snow or very cold weather, Christmas is also fully celebrated on Mallorca! Although you can still walk around the island in a T-shirt in sunny weather some days in December, Mallorca also has a great Christmas feeling with its many events and activities.
One of the most famous Christmas events is the Christmas market in the Pueblo Español. Christmas carols, mulled wine, delicious food (you can also get bratwurst or roast meat here), Santa Claus’ stand of course (especially for the little ones). The Christmas market takes place every weekend from the beginning of December until the Three Wise Men in January (except for the 25th, when the market is not open).

What is the Pueblo Español?
The Pueblo Español is an architectural project where most of the famous Spanish architectural masterpieces are represented (in a smaller version of course). But buildings like the Alhambra from Granada (the Patio de los Arrayanes) or the Cristo de los faroles from Cordoba. In total, there are 18 famous buildings, 15 streets and 12 plazas.
What exactly does the Christmas market in the Pueblo Español offer?
There are many delicious food stands; a stand with bratwurst and fries, a stand with waffles and crêpes, a stand with homemade muffins and cookies, a stand with hamburgers (where you can even order crocodile or camel burgers). Of course, there are many more such as stands with hot chocolate, Jägermeister or sweets.
There are also some attractions for the kids, such as a Santa Claus, a craft and painting course, etc.. Several shopping opportunities are great for buying Christmas presents.
Our conclusion about the Christmas market
We love going to the Christmas market every year because it gives us that real Christmas feeling. However, this Christmas market cannot be compared with the big and well-known ones in Germany, as you have to travel a little longer.
