The best restaurants in Colonia de Sant Jordi
The small coastal town of Colonia Sant Jordi is a former fishing village that has become increasingly popular over the years.
Many mainland Spaniards have their second home here and spend the summer months in the village. But also in the off-season many locals and residents meet at the harbor cafes.
The location is simply enchanting. The place is located between the most beautiful beaches of the island, Es Trenc, Es Dolc and Es Carbo. In addition, there is a bathing beach on the harbor promenade and the bathing bay Cala Galiota.
Typical and well known is the place and the municipality for its salt works. Salt extraction is still in full swing today and can be observed every year at the end of the year.
Those who would like to learn more can also take part in a guided tour on site (www.flordesal.com).
In August, this tradition is celebrated with a salt festival, the “Fira de la sal”.
On the outskirts of the city are the only hot springs in Mallorca, which can be enjoyed at the adjacent Wellness Hotel Fontsanta. From there, they can also take great hikes for bird watching and flamingo sightings.
The place also offers some very good restaurants that cater for all tastes.
Our favorites among the restaurants:
5 Illes Beach
There are 3 restaurants of the chain “5 Illes” in the village, which offer something for every palate. At the port, in the town and directly on the beach you have the choice of international dishes and creative Spanish tapas. In addition, there are delicious cocktails in a nice atmosphere. How about a 5 Illes Mojito right on the beach with chill music and a stunning sunset?
Laos Club
The 3-story building of the Laos please a TOP restaurant in the lower area! Mediterranean fusion that makes the palate dance. Chic and casual with great service, Laos is an absolute recommendation. And if you want to relax and have a nightcap afterwards, take the elevator to the top of the lounge and enjoy a drink with a view.
Cassai Beach House
The best restaurants Colonia Sant Jordi
The Cassai is popular mainly because of its location directly on the sea at the bay Cala Galiota (bathing bay). In a stylish atmosphere you can enjoy Mallorcan fish, Mediterranean and European dishes with a good wine and the best view.
Restaurant S’Arrosseria
The restaurant is located on a side street by the harbor and Chef Notre’s cuisine is known and loved by locals for his paella and fish dishes. So if you want to eat a really good Spanish paella, this is the place to be.
