Llucmajor: authentic, relaxed and only 20 minutes from Palma
For me, Llucmajor is the place where the real Mallorca feeling and modern lifestyle come together in a very relaxed way: just a stone’s throw from Palma, yet quiet, steeped in history and wonderfully authentic. Between Talayotic traces such as Capocorb Vell, weekly markets on Plaça d’Espanya and the coastal scenery around Cala Pi, Llucmajor unfolds its very own rhythm – ideal for arriving, living and investing.

Mix of history (Talayotic sites), markets & nature – perfect for living and investing.
Why llucmajor ignites immediately
Llucmajor feels like “real Mallorca”: lively village life, year-round authenticity, plus beaches & nature within easy reach. The location is great – close to Palma & the airport, yet pleasantly relaxed.
History in 5 sentences
The area has been inhabited since the 3rd millennium BC; traces can be found in artificial caves in the area. A highlight is Capocorb Vell, one of the most important Talayotic settlements in Mallorca. Llucmajor first appears in writing in 1259, and in 1349 the Battle of Llucmajor decided the end of the island’s monarchy. From the late 19th century, shoe production boomed – still visible today in the magnificent houses and the shoemaker monument.

Markets & lifestyle (how people live here)
The market fills Plaça d’Espanya on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays – fresh fruit and vegetables, crafts, vintage stalls and the legendary art deco-style Café Colón. Followed by tapas under the plane trees – it could hardly be more Mallorcan.
